Corporate Image - Graphic Design Process

Pakamedia Grafik is able to offer you varying levels of input when developing your Corporate Identity and Image. The three basic distinct levels in the graphic development process are:

1.

Concept
2. Copy-writing & Content development
3. Artwork Development

We are able to offer all three, or come in at a later stage if you are confident in handling one or two of the earlier stages yourself.

Stages of The Process Flow Design

1.

Determine the purpose

The development of a corporate identity project always starts with the design of a logo type: the most representative element of a company. Its shapes, colors, fonts, look and feel will be transported to the other pieces that will constitute your corporate identity. That is, the other design pieces that make up your company's corporate identity will be developed to match this logo.

Once the logo design process ends, we deliver a logo manual: a small handbook with the general design guidelines that we suggest for your brand. Then we continue to develop the simplest pieces: business cards, envelopes, etc. This way we make sure you are satisfied with the logo before we use it to create the rest of the corporate identity package.

When these pieces are finished, we continue with the more complex ones: brochures, booklets, catalogs, etc. The idea of this process is that, when viewers look at any of these pieces, they immediately associate them with your brand.

2. Establish a concept

In this initial stage of starting a new project, all relevant information needs to be acquired from the client before beginning the planning or production process.

After you have determined and know what you hope to achieve from the process, it is time to conceptualise a means of conveying it - a unique, attention-grabbing 'theme' that will satisfy the identity purpose.

3. Defining the Project & Deliverable

After all relevant information is gathered from the client, we work to define the key elements of your image and identity to determine goals, logistics and production variables

a. Content Management, Copy / Writing

Exactly what content is to be incorporated to develop your application? Is the content developed to its full potential? eg : brochures, product information

b. Logistics, Long-Term Goals and Support

We will define any technical considerations that your project may require. Digital printing, marketing, logistics, additional production, ongoing support, development or consultation.

c. Budget Considerations and Documentation

Based upon the agreed application to be developed a budget and contract will be drawn up. Any deadline requirements will also be defined within this documentation.

4. Authorisation to commence

The client and Pakamedia Grafik will agree upon the product to be delivered. Based upon the  dialogue between the client and content gathered for the project, a formal agreement will be made by both parties. We require you to sign the 'commencement agreement' and fax it back to us.

5. Supply the content

You must now forward us all supporting photographs, images, text, logos etc. All content must be in a readily usable format so as not to incur extra cost. *Scanning of images may incur an extra cost. Copy - Microsoft Word document Images - Hi-resolution JPEG Logos - Illustrator EPS

6. Artwork Development

It is finally time for us to 'build' and develop the artwork. The object of this process is not to overpower the image with garish artwork, but to use clever design to convey your identity and marketing message to its fullest. You will receive a proof by email and will have the opportunity to make several refinements from there.

7. Final proof

After some refinement, you will be presented with a final proof that you must sign-off as your final approval.

8. Printing and final approval

Pakamedia Grafik is able to take care of all your printing needs - we will provide a printing quote for your consideration. The printer will produce a full-colour hard-copy proof, which you must check over carefully and sign-off as your final approval.
